That's true. If anything it lets me relate to others better so I can be more patient and to be a better writer as I can take experiences like it and write about them.
As an eccentric, I endorse this message. I need people to be able to be tolerant of my differing viewpoints and to be in an environment where I can express them and learn from the them and other viewpoints. When we assume that people are static and unmoving in their beliefs or opinions then that isn't good, when we hold older beliefs/opinions against them that they have since learned from and left then that isn't good. Where do you go from there? All you will have is intolerance, because who will want to change their beliefs/opinions? How do you treat people that you assume can't change and grow? And how do you grow in yourself, especially when you assume that everyone else has to change instead?
