@hakan_geijer The one cool thing about Facebook, as opposed to Mastodon or Twitter, is you could create groups explicit for a particular community based on geography.

For instance, in my case, Central Texas/San Marcos anarchists/anti-fascists, etc so we could use it just to meet up at the park or library. These groups are non-existent now tho.

Without IRL organization, many of us basically have to deal with just being completely alone, online being our only connection to anyone, and in the face of this, daily thoughts of suicide consume us because human beings are meant to be social animals, and isolation is so detrimental to our mental health, it's no wonder some of us wind up dead.

Yes, sometimes mutual aid is helping someone with food or rent.

Other times it's just coming over and listening.
