@evan "place" is difficult :) for instance, maintaining a shared document isn't really something that happens "on" the fediverse, as far as i know no activitypub-capable system has a good shared document editing system.

but a bunch of people who talk a lot over fedi could easily coordinate their discussion around a shared-document editing tool (like a wiki or *shudder* google docs) and i don't think that would be "bad" or anything
