You're talking about the same disaster that this guy talks about, right? Weren't the poles supposed to be close to India and South America? Anyway, we are pretty much fucked when that happens. Another Carrington event would be bad enough, but combine that with extreme weather and floods, and other horrible shit. It will probably happen in the 2040s, and it can be survived, but you're going to have to be in the right place and you're going to have pretty much no technology when it happens. Of course, the problem is that the people running the world know about that and they are going to survive this and start it all from scratch and repeat the same shit all over again except even worse. Of course, this is all hypothetical. Scientifically, it should happen, but I don't believe in science.
