I engaged in some religious antisemitism at the family thanksgiving get together and was rewarded for it with an interesting story. After bringing up how much Jews hate the gospels, a relative who went to divinity school at Duke University a couple years ago shared that one day in his New Testament studies course they had a guest lecturer who was a jewess, religiously and ethnically, and a professional New Testament scholar, and her job was to go around to educate up and coming ministers on how all the antisemitism in the New Testament is wrong, how Jesus and scripture don’t really mean this or that when it comes to Jews. Now, all of this so far falls under the category of “I didn’t know Jews did this but I’m not surprised because it’s very in character“ but here’s where it gets interesting. Her reception was incredibly frosty. The students by and large were not buying what she was selling, and the regular professor was visibly pissed the whole time, he clearly didn’t want her there and this whole thing was forced by admin, probably not even admin of the divinity school but of Duke proper. At one point a student asked “youve spent your adult life studying the New Testament, in all that time has it never occurred to you that Jesus is really the Messiah and you should become a Christian?” And in response this yenta laughed in his face, which pretty much killed any support she may have had left from the audience. Then when she left the normal professor got up and said “okay well everything that woman said was wrong.” And bear in mind this is not just any big shitlib university, this is a METHODIST school, these people are up and coming kumbaya libtard pastors and not even they had any patience for some shitty jewish harpy telling them their religion is wrong. Very interesting.
