One of my general pet peeves is arguments of the form “This mitigation is bad because it doesn’t completely solve 100% of the problem.” I realize that’s not •exactly• what you’re saying, but it does lean in that direction.
We don’t fix problems completely solving them all at once. We try things, hope to reduce the problem somewhat, go with what works, and repeat. That’s how things get better.
