昨日流れてきた2011年に国連に提出された報告書が衝撃的だった。

ヨルダン川西岸の違法なイスラエル入植者に水を優先的に与えて、もともと住んでいるパレスチナ側への水の供給を止めたりしてるだけじゃなく、パレスチナ側が使っていた貯水タンクや給水車を押収したり、井戸や灌漑設備やローマ時代からある貯水設備まで破壊しまくっておきながら、新たな貯水設備の設置には許可を出さずに、そこでの生活を不可能にして追い出す、という無茶苦茶なことをしているという話なんだけど、その正当化の仕方がヤバい。

「そのエリアに出されたイスラエル軍の指令によると、雨はイスラエル当局の資産であるため、パレスチナ人が生活や農業に必要な雨水を集めることは禁止されている」
