Reminder to my cis followers: In general (some trans people describe their experience differently), trans people have been their gender for their whole lives. So while they might need some pointers and assistance in performing their gender publicly in a way that is commonly accepted by society, it's going to be REALLY rude to say shit like "welcome to womanhood".
Also, for trans and cis folks - trans people are going to have a whole unique perspective on their gender that cis people could probably learn a lot from. For example, trans women are going to be able to teach cis women a lot about the ways that the patriarchy harms them that they may have always just presumed is "normal". Trans men can teach cis men the same.
