@kirby@lab.nyanide.com The whole "I'm a minor, DNI" thing irrationally ticks me off. Fuck off, then. This isn't a space for you. Minors shouldn't be allowed online, how about that? When I was a kid we'd lie about our age all the time to get access to games or servers or communities and guess what---we didn't make a point about it and we acted like adults and were normal. If someone was hitting us up consistently we'd kindly shoot them down or let them know the situation, but that essentially never ever happened and it was never an issue because the internet used to be all about anonymity and obfuscation of IRL identity. Nobody knew who or what we were and we weren't seeking attention in that regard. I feel like this whole "I'm a minor" thing has become or is becoming similar to an identity politik thing where people fill their bios with long lists of their gender, sexuality, politics, allegiances, race, etc. etc. etc. ---stuff nobody really gives a fuck about nor should define you as an individual. It's like narcissism or a reach for attention. If anything, these stupid disclaimers only invite attention from people who are interested in minors.
