THAT right there is the problem. The liberal mindset is universal. She thinks everyone has the same assumptions about the world as she does. She thinks the civilization she has grown up in is a given that everyone understands. She is wrong. She must advocate for her culture. Against those that advocate for theirs. There is no neutral here.
