The historical church and everything pre 1900 is strongly against sexual degeneracy. Only after decades of concerted attacks have some denominations caved, and in centuries past it would have meant literal war. That we no longer have a Christian society means people can claim to be without repercussions when they act like hedonistic sexual deviants.
