3,300 year old sandals belonging to Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun. The sandals were made of wood and overlaid with a marquetry veneer of bark, green leather, and gold foil on a stucco base. The outer soles were covered with white stucco and the straps were made of tree bark and decorated with gold foil. The inner sole showcases artwork of captives bound with lotus and papyrus stems.
