This is illegal in California because studies found out that if people were discriminated against in their first job, the salary discrepancy followed them forever.
In Silicon Valley they use an algorithm to determine what you are paid and it’s extremely complex. However, a lot of that data is built on biased datasets. #tech #technology #pay
