ankur sethi is alive and welli wish there was a way to purchase individual articles from the New York Times or The Caravan or other websites that publish long-form journalism.
sometimes i want to read just a single article on one of these websites, but their paywall requires that i buy a subscription before i'm allowed to do that. i don't mind paywalls, and i don't mind paying for things -- journalists have to eat, after all -- but i can't be expected to pay for 20 subscriptions on 20 different websites.
on the other hand, i'd happily pay $0.50 or so for an individual article, as long as i could retain access to that article forever.
has somebody figured out a solution to this problem yet?
