@rlier23 the problem is every idiot who weighed in on the movie treated it with kids gloves. It's not the worst thing ever but it's more subtle with its gay modern hollywood crap. And no, peach is not a girlboss light, she is one full stop. There is a reason luigi was the damsel in distress. Bowser is basically a simp cuck. Everybody is mischaracterized in the movie besides kranky and toad. The only good scenes are the actions setpieces, everything else is either rushed or makes no sense when you think about it, it's got some serious worldbuilding problems with that typical everything is on pause when you are on another character pov, bowser gets the power star at the start and refuses to use it, its got a lot of stupid thing that happen because that's what some other movie did, but it doesn't follow from the setups or anything at all. Basically its a 4/10 because the animation is good and it isn't so monumentally retarded that its logic completely caves in on itself, its just mostly retarded and inconsistent and has a sort of nonstarter world
