We had that problem, too, especially after lockdown started and everyone was home all the time.
Our dog is good at conning us into feeding her multiple breakfasts and suppers.
We keep a small double-sided paper on her food bin. One side says "The Dog Ate Supper" and the other side says "The Dog Ate Breakfast." Whenever she's fed, the paper gets flipped. That way, we know she's not actually starving.
