I don’t disagree with the highlighted guy’s bit. Going ultra minimalist like that means you wont be “lazing around the house” getting fat, you’ll spend most of the day away from “home” and just sleep in the car before waking up for work the next day. If this is working towards a goal with oversized paychecks like he did its fine, a two or three years of stacking those oversized 100k+ FAANG paychecks means you could just buy a house cash in the midwest with a decent plot of land and then find some middling job to maintain a middle class lifestyle.

If its a plan with a clear end point the van stuff makes sense, just going lol van life means they’re going to spend a lot of money for no reason.
