One thing I was not prepared for as I age is living through so much of human #history. It's a chapter in a book, but when you're in it, it's so many different subtle ages.

We don't represent history that way. We represent it as static, that people in history lived within one decade or so, for 65+ years, or that 65+ years didn't have any historical events that changed peoples' circumstances.

The older I get, the more I relate to people in history bc my own childhood is "history" now.
