If TQs just want to PARTICIPATE in sports, they would be content with sex-based/open categories or staying at the hobbyist level.

If TQs want to be COMPETITIVE in sports, they would advocate for more categories where they could get their own records and medals against similar athletes (who also use substances that affect their bodies).

But many (most?) don't. One is left to assume the worst sort of ulterior motives.
