Any teacher who says that men have responsibilities but no authority is a false teacher. Same goes for those who define authority to be toothless.

"Servant leadership" is nothing more than telling a man he's dead while he lives. Delete yourself: personality, goals, ambitions, desires, all must be erased so that you can be an automaton, a robot butler for your family.

Modern "Confessional" Lutheran institutions want you to be a coma patient waiting around to die; modern evangelical and reformed institutions want you to be a buddhist slave serving the queen in his home.

Scripture tells you that you are more than these things. Men, you are supposed to be the ruler over your household. God has restored His image within you since the moment of your Baptism, and He declares that you are a priest in His Kingdom, part of His Israel. You are no butler; when you serve your family, it is as a shepherd, a lieutenant, a guard dog and a teacher. We are not born with inherent dignity: God gives it to us and expects us to live accordingly - don't let some collar wearing dork tell you otherwise through "servant leadership" or feeding tube Lutheranism.
