Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen commented the statement by Norway's Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland.
"We heard Terje Aasland say sorry, that has not happened previously. […] He's not the right man to reestablish trust between the Sámi and the Norwegian State to get us further in this matter. […] That [the apology] comes now, it's very clear that it is due to this [protest] action and people all over the country and people far from Norway and Sápmi have put pressure on Norway's government […]. To us it is crucial that [the Prime Minister] a̲s̲ Prime Minister must go and apologize for the ongoing human rights violations […] on behalf of the entire government. I'm not at all impressed by what Terje Aasland delivered today".
