Natives are highly suspicious of nons who start the "zionist colonizer" narrative. The Palestinians are just like "Indians" crap REALLY turns us off. I've had to deal with them intruding into just about every Native only space and trying to dominate with their own agendas. I have enjoyed watching AIM manhandle the fanatics at several protests because they wanted to hijack an American or Canadian event.
You could be 100% correct in your analysis, but no one wants to listen to the manipulative rhetoric of most of the most gung ho Palestinian activists. They just cannot see how they come off.
It has always been like this. They were insufferable in the 70s, 80s 90s ... all in different ways. The public isn't stupid and they won't accept anything but a completely honest delivery of facts. Even the most ignorant person knows when they're being emotional manipulated. Activists need to learn to respect the intelligence of their audience. Humans are complicated that way.
