@kino Because on the clearnet it's still possible to get your domain confiscated by the registrar or DNS provider, which is impossible with .onion or .i2p addresses.
Plus it's harder for VPS providers to deplatform you, since it's very easy to host darknet sites from home at no cost and no risk of having your real IP doxxed (unless you're a fucking idiot, but in that case you'd be doing this to yourself).
