    The boosts are only full text searchable if the person who wrote them has opted into full text search.

    I don't know how if past posts are purged though if people change their mind. I would guess not though?

    The full text search system relies on only searching posts tagged as full text searchable. These tags only get attached to a post if the author has already opted in, and if they opt out again the tags stop being attached.
