I can imagine that. I can also imagine just getting a truck full of servers and racking them up, setting up a PXE server that boots them into something that images the disk, chroots, and then fetches and runs some ansible scripts. If you're setting up 200 machines, you're at "cattle, not pets" stage. (Of course, if it's 200 Plan 9 machines, no Ansible is required. Just write the default config, maybe just have all of the boxes netboot or maybe have them copy a 9fat image and then do flfmt and point them at a venti server, the machine is imaged in under 30 seconds.)

The real issue, the actual pain there, would be cable management, and no OS will save you from that.
