Not surprised at all. I tried GoogleFi with a Nexus 5. GoogleFi was terrible but I liked the phone, so I moved back to AT&T with it. Then Google issued an Android update that bricked the phone that I bought from Google: I called them and they said I'd get a new one free (OK, reasonable), then I followed up to get my free phone and Google said "fuck you", no phone, no refund, no nothing. Years later I got a lawsuit notice that I could get $10. Fuck Google.
