But I'm never really alone. Thye pelicans themselves are mostly silhouetted against the clouds."Brown pelicans are large birds with gray-brown bodies, yellow heads, white necks, and long bills with pouches. They hunt fish by plunging into the sea from high altitudes and are the only pelican species that does so. They nest in colonies on islands or vegetated areas and lay two or three white eggs5. They are very social and often gather in flocks. They can live up to 40 years.
