Waking up to the news that Steve Barclay is proposing to ban some women from women's #NHS wards is pretty sickening. He also insists that he will put some men in them, but that's not the headline for some reason. I wonder why.

Oh no, I don't. It is so clearly nothing more than an attempt to spilt the opposition. He wants to force Starmer to take a stance knowing full well that whatever position he adopts will cause a brouhaha.

I would like to be able to express the depths of my disdain for someone who will happily make life miserable for a whole bunch of people for the sole purpose of electoral gain. The best I can manage is: are you happy now Kathleen Stock?
