@psykose @tthbaltazar Well IIRC it's stuff outside the BMP that doesn't works right for mksh, which is still a lot of unicode these days. And proper unicode support in /bin/sh implementations would probably mean a whole redesign like having a separated interactive part so you could grab libraries like ICU and not end up in a dependency loop.
