This Carolina chickadee (Poecile carolinensis) is fleeing a feeder that I have for woodpeckers with some kind of seed.  Having said that, I've yet to see a woodpecker at that feeder.  The photo is a little soft but looked crisp before I cropped it.  It was a decent photo and I didn't really need to crop it, but I wanted to, so there we are.</p><p>"Carolina Chickadees visit feeders for sunflower seeds, peanut chips, and suet. Make sure any peanuts you provide stay dry so no mold can form on them. It has a yellow seed captured in its short black beak.  There is a glint in its black eye. The chickadee's white cheeks from a wedge between its upper black mask and lower black neck.  Its gray translucent wings are in the downward position sweeping at the air underneath.  The fan of its grey tail angles very slightly downward helping adjust its flight.  In the background is a mix of white, green and red, which comes from the fence and rose bush."This tiny, approachable bird has a short neck and large head, giving it a distinctive spherical body shape. Its tail is fairly long and narrow. Its bill is a bit thicker than a warbler’s but thinner than a finch’s. Carolina Chickadees have a black cap and bib separated by stark white cheeks.
