@montanero rms has only ever raged that Linux should be called Linux and GNU should be called GNU and not called "Linux" by mistake.
rms even interjected the interjection; https://www.gnu.org/gnu/incorrect-quotation.html
A combination of GNU and Linux is therefore only correctly referred to as GNU/Linux, GNU+Linux, LiGNUx or your preferred separator.
People keep on saying that Linux is an OS, but then I looked at the Linux source and soon discovered you need at least systemd as well (or another init) for it to boot, which makes systemd/Linux: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/init/main.c#n1487
Linus even agrees with rms on his point; "Sadly, a kernel by itself gets you nowhere. To get a working system you need a shell, compilers, a library etc." - Linux Torvalds but is more recently happy to accept all the credit for what GNU did and also accepts >1 million $ a year from the Linux foundation to assist that group of criminal companies with infringing the GPLv2 by pledging not to sue.
If you can come up with any legitimate reason as to why GNU/Linux should be called "Linux", I'll take it into consideration (don't even try going for consensus, as in the past it was a consensus in many countries that the Earth was flat, but as you know, the popularity of an error doesn't make it the truth).
