The contempt for gig workers and other people who drive for a living correlates pretty strongly with the contempt for labor in general. The people who pat themselves on the back for jacking up parking prices and making undrivable traffic patterns are the same people who tell the poor "wow, that sounds like a difficult situation, you're going to have to deal with it!"
