@davidrevoy A lot of NFTs are literally just an artist promotion and distribution mechanism and paying for the NFT is how you pay the artist for creating their art that everyone can enjoy. The collapse of NFT collections like bored apes (I hate them too) doesn't directly effect this perfectly valid use-case. I personally have seen artists go from broke to supporting their family via NFT art because, people were actually paying them. Unfortunately the reputation of NFTs got tanked because of all these crappy collections so it has affected them. At the end of the day I support NFTs when they are a mechanism for artists to actually get paid.
