    My guess is that they are True Believers. Some people deliberately put forward disinformation for power and control.Some people really believe the disinformation.

    Of course, it's just a guess. For all I know, someone slipped them a few million bucks and they said sure. Who needs a reputation with that much money in the bank 🤣
