@notjustbikes This is super interesting podcast because it's much more focused on Lived Experience. Instead of talking about good transit and infrastructure, from an engineering perspective, talking about what it’s like to experience good and bad transit and how it makes us feel, makes for more powerful and emotionally appealing stories.
I think we need to talk more about the constant fear, the anger and the stress that car centric cities create. How we feel looked down on as cyclists and pedestrians in these cities. And how liberating and happy we feel to be in cities that aren’t dominated by cars and have good transit choices.
I guess this is why I enjoy The Arrested Mobility Podcast and why I have great empathy with the people featured in the episodes.
This is something I must remember to communicate more when talking about #Urbanism #notjustbikes
