    I'm not very good at social skills, so advice would be gratefully received here.

    I'm plagued by unsolicited calls from recruiters. No idea where they got my number from, and I'm TPS registered so they shouldn't be calling me out of the blue.

    What level of politeness is it reasonable to show these people?

    1. Chat to them like old friends
    2. Polite but firm
    3. Peremptory
    4. Shock & awe
