    I'm sorry, but when I see someone in a repressed/marginalized community adopting the language of their oppressors in order to use the same kinds of rhetoric against other repressed/marginalized groups it always makes me itch.

    "SOME of group X aren't shitheels" doesn't cancel out "SOME of group X are really huge shitheels," because the overall implication of what you're saying is that the majority of group X are somewhere on the shitheel spectrum.

    Keeping the quiet part quiet doesn't erase it.
