@ned Something similar happens with the native Americans in the US.

They're allowed to build some things on their land but ultimately the people who are in charge are the Chiefs and they roll with an iron fist they extract most of the wealth from the tribe and if anyone challenges them they simply report them to the government to say that they're not of native blood, and the government shrug their head and says yes and then kicks them out of the tribe leaving them basically homeless and unable to go back onto their native territory.

That's honestly why a large majority of native Americans legitimately just leave their tribe and just pretend to be Hispanic because they look similar enough and they go live a more prosperous life.

The corruption is unreal.
