@tecnijota @aruiz That's an excellent idea if you have a reservoir, basically the benchmark against which other storage methods are measured.

Many places don't have pumped hydro though, or don't have pumped hydro without wrecking the landscape.

What are some good heavy energy uses that don't come with heavy capital investment, that wouldn't be forced to be productive even outside peak production vs consumption?
