@Mondobizarrro I hate the term "industrial metal."
Industrial metal is just metal with electronics mixed in. That's . . . Hawkwind. LOL
Honestly, I don't consider bands like Skinny Puppy or synth era Ministry to be industrial either. I consider them to be electronic music and industrial music to be music made with tape loops, "found objects", weird instruments built into machines out of junk, and samples of noise and things like that.
Skinny Puppy and Twitch-era Ministry have a lot more in common with electronic artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Wendy Carlos, and Kraftwerk than they do Einsturzende Neubauten, NON, Z'EV, or SPK.
But people labeled them "industrial" back then, probably because the music wasn't "pop" enough, and in Skinny Puppy's case, like Throbbing Gristle, were actually scary as fuck to people at the time
