Thought I could just slap a new layer of acrylic paint over the painting i did 2 nights ago and didn't like and have it work the same

apparently acrylic paint does not work like that and it was a miserable experience of paint that would not blend whatsoever because.i was supposed to prime it

kms i didnt get anything done tonight
