@mattly aside from the little self deprecating joke I mostly meant this in a non-work context.
For example, it took me months to convince my wife to come try trivia night at our local pub. She was very resistant because "she's not good at trivia" (which I disagree with, but how I feel about her trivia ability isn't a salient point).
You make an interesting point about intentionally avoiding skills to align with satisfaction though. Certainly in work, but maybe even in non-work.
