Nope. It was some really old All-in-one computer called i-Opener that was made to surf dial-up internet in a foolproof, trimmed down fashion.
Nerds would buy up multiple i-Openers rather quickly after cracking past Netpliance's locked-down system, winning a war of one-upsmanship against it's manufacturer and revealing that i-Opener was just a locked-down QNX computer in the process.
Of course, there's the uncommon knowledge that all foolproofing is bad outside of informing the user, one of the major reasons being that male hoodrats can make any foolproof item dangerous.
