Now it's very easy to conclude from this that Americans are respectless assholes who are stealing our online spaces, but the real problem is that the internal language of a very big and well-represented country is also the internal language of several less well-represented countries, plus an international community of second-language speakers. And when they mix because geographically separate places can now inhibit the same virtual space online, there's friction.
