CDPR /did not/ attempt to give a 1:1 copy of the TTRPG. Nor did they even consider the core "game essence." They didn't even fucking take notes from /other video games/ in the RPG genre, let alone from any immersive or tactical first person shooter games.

No, what CDPR did is they tried to shove Borderlands bullshit in there, and proved that they /not only/ fundamentally misunderstood the TTRPG they were adapting, BUT ALSO fundamentally misunderstood /basic fucking principles/ of designing a game around established working game genre conventions.
