@notjustbikes I keep saying that small cities and towns in Canada can become this way very quickly if they only tried, and whoever does it will quickly set off a rush of copycats. Pedestrian only Banff (in summer) is now much more pleasant, Canmore is doing lots too, but I think that because they are tourist towns, people haven’t seen it for the improvement it is for the residents. A small town or city can keep a lot of its economy local if it can facilitate active transport for its citizens.
