When working with young men with intellectual disabilities it was difficult teach young female staff to have strong boundaries. Often these young women really believed they just had to be kind and everything would work out. I know initially they thought the older staff were just hardened cynics but over time they usually did learn that you can't just spinkle fairly dust and everything will be ok. Unfortunately it would take a few incidents for the penny to drop. I see this in young women now as they hand overtheir rights to an awful misogynist kind of feminism that has taken hold in our young women. I'm waiting for the penny to drop.
