Ah yes, "processional™" instead of just professional.
There's nothing more unprofessional than software that can stop working at any time if the license check fails.
One example of such unprofessional software is "adobe reader".
I certainly don't have proprietary malware installed on my computer, but I observed one instance of such pdf reader sabotaging itself at random due to the account signing out at random - even though the monthly rent was being paid.
Meanwhile, if you install any professional pdf reader like zathura+mupdf, evince or okular those will just work and won't ever stop working, as there's no proprietary sabotage features built in.
