@Blackgendermoderate It's not because they can't imagine that women wrote it. They know full well that they did, but exposing this fact would be to admit that male "progress" is based on destruction and suppression of women's achievements, basically it would undermine the entire patriarchal narrative of women's oppression being some kind of natural social contract in everyone's best interest because silly women are stupid and weak and need men's protection and smarts and pay for them with sex and servitude out of their own will.
