As an autistic person, I don't lack theory of mind like the professionals say (more specifically, what Sasha Baron-Cohen's scientist brother says). I just am literal about everything. His experiment that showed autistic people will see a person hide an object and leave, but then another person moves it, and then when the first person comes back to look for it, the autists failed to guess where the unknowing person would look for it, naming the new spot they were not privy to. They were asked where the person should look for it. Well! Where they SHOULD look for it and where they WILL is very different in my mind! I would have answered badly, too.
